My Precious ("we", "us", or "our") is a personal asset tracking application. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using My Precious you agree to the practices described here.
1. Information We Collect
Account information
- Email address (used to create and identify your account)
- Password (stored as a secure hash — we never store it in plain text)
Profile information (optional)
- Display name
- Profile photo (uploaded at your discretion)
Asset data you enter
- Asset details such as name, type, purchase price, current value, quantity, and related metadata
- Asset categories: stocks, cryptocurrency, jewelry, precious metals, watches, real estate, vehicles, cash, collectibles, and other digital assets
App settings
- Preferred display currency and country — stored locally on your device
We do not collect payment card numbers, government IDs, or bank account credentials.
2. How We Use Your Information
- To create and authenticate your account
- To store, sync, and display your asset portfolio across devices
- To personalise the app experience (display name, profile photo, preferred currency)
- To send transactional emails such as password-reset links (no marketing emails)
- To maintain the security and integrity of the service
We do not sell your personal data. We do not use your asset data for advertising.
3. Data Storage and Security
Your data is stored on servers provided by Supabase (supabase.com), a Backend-as-a-Service platform. Data is encrypted in transit using TLS and encrypted at rest. Supabase is compliant with SOC 2 Type II and GDPR requirements.
App preferences (default currency, country) are stored locally on your device using platform-standard storage (SharedPreferences / NSUserDefaults) and are not transmitted to our servers.
4. Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party service:
- Supabase — authentication, database, and file storage. Supabase Privacy Policy
We do not integrate advertising networks, analytics SDKs, or social-media tracking pixels.
5. Data Retention
Your data is retained for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, all associated personal data and asset records are permanently deleted from our servers within 30 days.
6. Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate data
- Request deletion of your account and associated data
- Export your data in a portable format

7. Children's Privacy
My Precious is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Effective date" at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
